Real estate data visualized
Trulia Insights is a blog dedicated to visualizing real estate data. The target audience is decidedly not geeky, so the design goal is to communicate complex data in a simple, visual way. The project is still ongoing, and is one of my main responsibilities at Trulia. It is a group effort, with several key contributors: Jed Kolko and Lauren Colbert provide the data and analysis, Ken Shuman and Daisy Kong project management and copy writing, and yours truly making things visual and interactive. In addition to designing and coding several interactive visualizations in html, css, and javascript, I also designed the blog template to house an ongoing series of posts and visualizations.
